so i have read mostly bad things about the evinrude e-tec... it seems that most of the motors were 2008 and older.. i have purchased a 2010 legend ss river boat with a 225 e-tec jet... are the newer e-tecs better?? should i be worried for any reason??

You'll probably get a better answer to this at the Evinrude E-TEC Owners Group. Many of us here are stuck in the 1950s and 60s and don't get out much.
