I have a Western Auto brand boat motor. The model number is F-4. It has 2 cylinder motor. Can anyone tell me more information about how old and what it maybe worth?

Look a little closer...probably reads WF4...made by
Kiekhaefer Mercury about 1950. Look in tech data section of this site for basic information. Balue
is a slippery subject...let's avoid getting too
astray. Average old outboard has enough issues to
make $50 a crap shoot for buyer...exception might be
an outboard in like new original appearance...fixing
up an old outboard so it can be used can be an interesting hobby but not one that will usually pay.
There are several talented gentlemen in hobby that
can make an old outboard look better than new but
none that can make them look original.
