I posted the other day to find out a bit about my motor... and have found quite a bit since then. My current issue is that where the shaft of the motor begins there is a seam that connects it to the upper portion. I am noticing that there is grease coming out of that seam. Does anyone know what this is? Or, more importantly, how I can fix it? Thanks again.
If you can post some pictures, perhaps we can get a better idea what is going on. My guess is you could have a leak from the gasket (o-ring) where the driveshaft enters the crankcase. But it could be fuel dripping from another location that happens to find a point of least resistance around the belly plate/exhaust leg. But again, hard to tell without a picture.
