Hi,



the trouble with Bronthion is that I can't get him to join the council of seven because I don't have the three elvin relics.



This is the last thing I have to do before ringing that gong and moving on to the end stages of the game (I've killed everything bad tempered, I've given the kids gold, I've been downstairs to the playful boys and girls in Verdistsis, etc. etc.



In despair I searched for cheats on the web (what could this third item be?) only to discover it's the quarterstaff that Josephine drops after you defeat her...I didn't realise the significance of this item at the time I collected it and sold it to someone?! a couple of weeks ago, how I regret that gold grubbing move now...



now I can't find out who I sold it to, or where I may have stashed it...and I've been looking believe me. In horror I wonder if I may have dropped it in the dark forest when becoming overloaded?...please no...



So, as this is getting longwinded, I'll cut to the chase, is there any way to get around this problem other than continuing to search the game inch by inch for quarterstaffs to present to the stubborn Bronthion?



(I've tried killing Bronthion in the hope another elf will be selected, but that's a no go, he won't be drawn into a fight and seems immune to poison, trailbombs etc).



Any ideas?

p.s. it just occured to me to check through my history of conversations, for presumably I'll find which merchant I visited after defeating Jose, or whom I may have carelessly traded the staff with...but still, ideas please!
