The Path

Sister, the road of life
We travel is a challenge
You don’t have to go alone
That is why God made sisters
To hold each others hand on the way
Listen and Talk to all our tribulations
What this day has offered
Days pleasurable
Days appalling
Tears and joy
A walk on life’s highway
Around the bend up a hill
Watch the sun rise
Watch the sunset
Done all that you and I
We have been together for a Nary a Nye
Found our way to this day
So on this life journey
I will walk with you and you with me
Wipe a tear lend an ear
But remember if I’m not there when you fall
God will be with you through it all

Be Still

Did you walk in the rain
After a snow storm do you see the splendor
How the snow clings to the trees, does it cover each twig and nook
And you marvel how beautiful, this all can be
Do you fix your eyes on a rainbow and wished it would not end
Do you feel sunshine on your face when you strolled on the beach
Did you listen to the waves and the seagulls screech
Did you see that lady bug who’s taking a break and landed on your gate
Did you watch a child with his new puppy today
Do you see the squirrels chase each other and play
Round Round the tree they go
Playing tag - touch the tail – your it - up the tree they’d go
Are the birds hungry – at your window sill
Did you plan your day
Did you make a meal
Did you learn something new
Read a book or two
Take a bath and soak awhile
Till your fingers and toes were wrinkled
Did you sit in a chair take time to meditate write or pray
Tell me how did you spend your day
Was it all you thought it would be
Or did you waste time thinking how it could be
Or what those yesterdays were
Were you still long enough to reflect
This was a gift From God
Who said this is all for you
Enjoy today for no one is guaranteed a tomorrow
The gift is now
Gods given it to you
