Music of the Spheres, part II [second verse not the same as the first]

Trivia and Quiz:
1. What message does Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Reggae, and Gospel all have in common?
2. Read Revelations 14; 1-3 (bear in mind a guitar is a modified harp) and doesn’t that sound like one ‘Smokin’ event?

More about music and its use,

There is an eye exercise where rapid movement of the eye can reset the mind. (Chapter 4. Iamai) The exercise is short (1 minute). Essentially, one moves the focus of the eyes quickly from object to object before cognition can occur. The mind is constantly in a recognition mode (a high priority mental operation). Consequently, lower mental operations are suspended. If done fast enough and correctly, there is no thought or mentation. If one notices where their ‘head’ is at before doing this exercise and notice where their ‘head’ is at after the exercise, you may notice that your thinking processes are starting from scratch. It can reset your thinking.

When we truly focus on the sounds of music, our mind can be doing the same operation. We are ‘seeing’ with our ears instead. With focus on each note, our mind can be constantly resetting itself, leaving behind (or over-riding) past troubles and worries. Some music is better for these operations than others. Bach’s chamber music can be easier to ‘enter’ than jazz for some people. Blues may work for some, while Beethoven may work for others.

Herein is another way our focus on the music can alter our consciousness. Bear in mind. It is the operator who is doing the work (one-point focus) and the Divine responding to what is ‘given’ It.

Peace
