RUSSELL BREW

I am just starting out looking into the family history of my grandfather, Russell Brew. When he died on 2/9/2001 he was in the VA hospital in Marshalltown Iowa at the age of 72 or 73 I believe. His second wife, Phyllis had died the previous Dec, also in Marshalltown. His first wife, my grandmother was Gladys (Coop) Brew. I have background on her but not on him. I know he was a veteran of WW2, the story was he was a green beret. He left behind my father, Larry Brew of Austin, Tx and another son, James Brew of Ark City, Ks. Phyllis and he had a daughter that was institutionalized at birth due to severe birth defects and we never knew anything about her. Russell lived in several places but the two most known to us was Kansas and mostly Arizona. He wasnt around much when we were kids and left my grandmother, a single mother of two boys at an early age so nobody ever talked about him. We got to know him better as an adult but he didnt talk much about his family so I am blank from there. I know its not much to go on, but its all I have. Please contact me if any of this sounds familiar.
