Hi, Do your self a favor and forget using what every body else is using. Tie some soft hackles in combinations of yellow & Red, Orange & pink, & Blue & black. I've been fishing for Pacific Salmon for many years and trust me when I tell you these flies work! Use TMC 700 hooks in # 8&10, best of luck Marc A. Procopio

I am fairly new to Chinook salmon fishing with flies. I can tie just about any pattern, but need some help on choosing some effective patterns.
I will strictly be fishing Lake Ontario and Georgian Bay tributaries or rivermouths.
