I have a 1974 GT 750 which I am currently restoring to do some road trips and weekend rides. The bike still has the original two stroke style slide carbs and I was told that the later models had CV type carbs which give better economy.
Is this correct and if so what are the pros and cons of doing a change over apart from the fact that the bike will not be original?
personally mate I would stick with the slide carbs, provided they are GT750 carbs, they are more responsive than the CV carbs and tend not to surge as much provided they are tuned right.
