A lot of Pomeranians do go through a 12 month old shed. They can take up to 6 months to re grow the adult coat. I only keep brushing any dead hair out every day.

Hi there,
I read in this website that pomeranians go through the puppy uglies plus a 12 month shed. What exactly is a "12 month shed"? I think that my pom is in this stage now (since he's finished his puppy ugly stage" and I'm wondering if using a shedding blade is safe or harmful to his coat.
