Re: Usual behaviour

Hello,

Every pom has a different personality. I have two pomeranians and one is so completely noisy and hyper and fiesty, the other one just lays around all day and barely plays. Your pom is probably just fine with its temperment. Once you have him longer he will really come out of his shell. Good luck and Take care

Hi! I recently started fostering a rescue pom. Everytime I tell people about this I get this reaction "Oh, you got a pom, they are so bossy / they bark and whine all the time, so annoying" I love my little guy, he is so quiet, and he naps A LOT during the day. He only barks if someone is at the door. He eats properly, just does not drink water. Is this normal or am I missing him out on something??? Please help! Thanks.

Hi! I used to get the same response when I mentioned my family was adopting a Pom... they're "Yippy" dogs, they're hyper, they are mean, the bark ALL the time... etc. I have found all this to be untrue! My family LOVES our Shadow. He is wonderful and even gets along with my 2 year old twins! And our cat even gets along with him. And as for hyper, he is playful hyper, and we love playing with him!

You should try and get him to drink water as it is good for him and it will keep him healthy by keeping his body functioning properly.

Re: Usual behaviour

Hi,

I've had my little pom for a month now, he's 3 months+. And from what I see so far, he's super hyper and feisty but VERY quiet. He only barks if he sees his reflection, or when I'm drying my hair, or mopping the patio lol He whines just a little when I leave for work in the morning but hushes up shortly after(as far as I know anyway). He sleeps through the night quietly in his crate, and will maybe whine just a little in the morning if I'm taking too long to come and start the day with him. THey're all different I'm sure.
