This may answer your prays. www.akcchf.org you have to look a little , but its on this site for Keeshonden and Pomeranians for a skin disease called adult onset alopecia. This condition is characterized by a loss of hair on the back of the legs, followed by hyperpigmentation and the skin turning dark. Hair loss can also progress over the body. Barefoot's

My girlfriend had the same problem with her pom. Her vet sent his bloodwork to a study at the university of Tennessee. They analyzed it and determined that it was a hormonal disorder. They recommeded that he be neutered, and advised her that it happens to male poms. She subsequently neutered him and he has grown back the majority of his hair. She was told that it may take up to one year for the hair to grow back.
