I'm starting in Oban (again) this year, mostly because it's the only start I can easily get to in one day from down south. Every other start, I need to do an overnight on the way up to make all the connections work.

Anyway... where do Challengers go in Oban to get the beers in? Lots of choices there, but where will I be guaranteed to find a gathering?

I've started in Oban three times and the best advice I could offer is to stand at the Oban SYHA door and grab the first familiar face coming out.
Wetherspoons did fine two years ago. The fish and chip restaurant on the front last year.

This is what has needed sorting for years , please, someone who knows oban well , name a place and those who fancy it all meet up ! ( simple)


I have mentioned this idea to various people over the years but nothing ever seems to come of it.

all the start points ( where there are more than one place ) need to have a central meeting point . Come on people ideas !
