peg kleener,

hi, back in the early 80s there was a product on the market that you could soak your tent pegs in and they would come up shining like new, It was called Pegoff!! Ive not seen it for a long wile but it was great stuff, I think it gave them a coating as well to help stop soil sticking to them, Has anybody seen it of late Or is there any other product like it on the market,

Re: peg kleener,

Hi George,

I hardly ever clean my stakes - they don't tend to get dirt attaching - Easton Gold 9".
When I washed other stakes it was just soapy water.

Re: peg kleener,

Agree - water is all I use.

Re: peg kleener,

I tap dried mud off the pegs, if there is any, wipe with a dry cloth if required. No fuss, no bother.

Re: peg kleener,

Cleaning tent pegs? Whatever next?

Re: peg kleener,

Hi
When needed, I find a tuft of grass works fine.
For V profiled pegs, use another peg to clear the groove then use the tuft of grass.

Re: peg kleener,

Errr...I assume George is extracting the Michael? If he isn't then I will show everyone my Ultralight Ultrasonic cleaner I carry with me for just such a use.
