No need to panic, there are still 6 months before the Challenge starts. Why buy a second hand tent when you will not know it's history. There are new solo tents available from a little as £90, which is probably less than your train ticket to Scotland, so plenty of time to save up plus you get the opportunity of view several tents before you make your choice.

I have a laser competition which i cannot see myself using again . The weight is 860 grm , it is clean ,4x used only on challenges and it is sound . One interesting feature is a v. slightly bent pole section due to a residual hurricane (2010 ) . I am not sure how to mail offline but i'm sure the ladies in charge of the challenge would be able to help you to contact me for full detail .
