Sue, Ali - What were the stats this year please? ie how many applied in total and how many were deferred to next year?

Many thanks for my place which I'm over the moon about. I'm planning the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand starting in October next year so this is an important part of the build up for that. It's equivalent to about 10 TGOCs back to back! Gulp.

440 applied which is exactly the same number as last year. 37% are first time Challengers and of those one third are from overseas.

People seem to have heard whether they are in or out of next year's Challenge but I've had no mail one way or another. Is this just a mistake or is there some third state that hasn't been announced yet?
