Silent Thoughts

I count every breath you take
As you lie there asleep
I’m afraid to close my eyes
For fear that it’s only a dream
I put my head upon your chest
And I feel each beat of your love
A tear falls
And right now
At this very moment
I realize
That I’m in love with you
