I'm looking for the receipe and tying instructions for Howell's Prawn as shown on page 122 of Kaufman's Steamborn 2003 Catalog. Appreciate the help, trying to get ready for a Steelhead trip on the Situk River in Yakutat.
The pattern you're referring to is the work of Joe Howell of the Blue Herron Fly Shop. I believe his company is located in Astoria (?) Oregon. The patterns I've seen on-line are vague and sometimes inaccurate and it might be worth a little research to call/contact Joe directly. Sorry I can't help you more!
