What does it mean to be black?
Does it mean very dark, dirty,
wicked, evil, dismal, sullen, gloomy,
lacking light, dark-skinned people?
Why is it that everything associated
with black is made to seem negative?
What it really means is beautiful, clean
spiritual, fortunate, outspoken,
not to mention intelligent people
with a black light that shines bright
If we keep our thoughts on the Lord,
we can succeed
We have to ask ourselves two questions;
do we want to fall steadily or stand and rise?
I don't know about you,
but I want to rise as far as I can
with the help of the Lord, and this is positive
