It has started
Well gents It has started here in Arkie land for us, It sure wasnt the way I had hoped but 5 dead birds is way better than none, Monday I set up in a cut and plowed bean field with a couple buddies of mine while "bub" was chaseing them over in Okie land, Anyway they have been hitting this field for about 2 weeks straight and wouldnt you know they got up from roust and went else where so we waited them out for the group of about 50 to split at 80 yards out and fly a good 50 yards to my right and 50 yards to my left, They must have seen something they didnt like! opting to take the shots I pulled one bird from the group to my right and my buddy pulled one out the group to the left! i shall give them a few days and try it again!! Justin and I went out yesterday to a huge farm pond we have up in the the NW corner of arkansas where we can count on killing 50 to 100 birds a year off of if we hunt it hard!! but the sign was everywhere and the land owner had said he had been seeing them there so we proceeded, Useing only 2 dozen dekes and ole faithful Benelli "my dog" we had a group of 6 commit and we hammered 3 out of them! nice hunt and good times birds flying all around but they all wanted to be in different places than where we were! keep up the posting and so will we Later guys |
