The obscene amount of money needlessly spent on arms and the support of the Arms Trade is the biggest waste.
It's an investment in negative equity which is used as a barganing chip to marry support from the developing nations to the west.
This policy can only result in destruction.
If the western states could spend this money on feeding, clothing and educating the poor of the world, perhaps then people wouldnt get so angry, and become radical about their faith/culture to the extreme. There would be no need to fight terrorism, and maybe we could spend more time on developing technology on cold fusion reactors to bring an endless supply of energy.
Now that would be money well spent!...
but alas, it seems that this could only happen if people can believe in the common good...
Man has a long way to evolve to this solution. |
