Although you can sort of understand their feelings, their case does not stack up. If I had no children, could I opt-out of paying for education? Of course not.
Defense is expensive, but it os not just used for wars against Iraq etc, the same funds were used against Argentina in the Falklands (do they wish we did not defend a British island), or our own defences (do they wish us to disband the army?).
We live in a democracy, where the majority rule. The majority voted for Labour, and therefore they have to abide by their decisions.
Obviously they have money to waste (although they are asking for donations - so they do not even want to pay for the court case) - but how much has this cost the British tax-payer. Can I opt out of that charge please. |
