I agree with the first post, what you are proposing is completely bonkers, what side of the bed do you guys get up on in the morning. We have a system in this country that despite its failings, generally works, we pay our taxes and the government of the day decides how to split them up.
Just because you dont agree with the way your taxes are spent, does not give you the right to not pay them.
Just use some sense, if it bothers you that badly, why dont you just imagine that YOUR tax money is being spent on hospitals instead?
I dont agree on my taxes being spent on lots of things, but I wouldnt try to stop payment of part of my tax bill.
You are children in an adult world, time to grow up!
Reality check; there are some nasty people out there in the world, who are more than willing to attack our country, thats why we have an army.
You are most fortunate in that we have in general quite a free society here, but that has been paid for several times over by the blood, sweat & tears of the men & women of our armed services.
You might make a fine point in that you just dont agree in attacking another country, well unfortunately sometimes you have to take an offensive role to stop future problems, or the problem might become to big to deal with i.e. Adolf Hitler.
Use your time in more productive avenues, in things that make a difference, become a hospital visitor, help underpriveliged children, help OAPs etc rather than being seen as rather silly! |
