questions about golden dazzlers
Hi My name is Casee and Im a senior at Blake High school in Silver Spring Maryland. Right now Im looking at a bunch of colleges and their dance teams, and the golden dazzlers seems like a great one. I was just curious if high school seniors that live a long distance away and are still in school would still be eligible for the team? Also, what are the requirements as far as body type goes? If I get into FIU and decide to enroll, Im not sure if I would be right for the dazzlers my freshman year, but I would definetely try out my 2nd year if not then.

Also, in addition to the audition date in the spring, is there also an alternative audition for those who cant make it to the one in April? Like in the Summer or early fall? |

Hi Casee! First I'd just like to say that I happy you are interested in the dance team at FIU. FIU is a great school, with an amazing dance team. Yes, high school seniors are eligible to try out for the team, as long as you are accepted into FIU. I would definitely recommend you trying out for the team your first year, not only because you will get to continue dancing directly out of high school, but also because you will be in a new place far from home, and it makes it a lot easier to already know a team of 20+ girls. I'm not originally from Miami either, and joining the team my freshman year was the best decision ever. And to answer your question about alternative try-outs, that all depends on the results of the April audition, but for the past two years we have held summer/fall auditions for those who missed the spring try out! I hope you find this information helpful, and if you have any more questions please ask!
