Try-out
ok Hi i'm really excited about try-outs on July 27th, umm I just wanted to ask is there anything you guys are lookin for in particular as far as skill? |

Hi Cecilia! Well in regards to the skills needed to make the time, you will be asked to perform a routine on your own that you will bring. In addition you will be asked to do pirouettes, a toe touch, a la seconde turnes, fouette turns, switch leaps, and any other technical skills you'd like to show! Thanks for the reply, I do although have another question other than our routine is their one we'll learn at try-outs and then perform?

 Thanks for the really quick response, umm i have 2 questions 1)how is the scoring gonna be done, and 2)how many new dancers will be chosen during this audition?

The scoring is done out of a possible high score of 120. Categories include performance, technique, appearance, facials...so basically everything! We will take about 3-5 additional dancers. This is a much smaller audition the the one we had in April. |

Coach B, what exactly are you looking for in terms of the new dancers, and what do you think makes someones routine standout?

I am looking for talent of course. I think a fun theme for a routine and having dancers go all out with costuming, hair and make up separates a routine from just songs that are too popular and that look like they were thrown together at the last minute. I can always tell. B |

I was wondering if there are any scheduled clinics before try-outs or if theres a chance of actually working with the current dazzlers

nope. Our clinic is only offered in April. If we do offer one we will advertise it on the website but it does not look like we will. |
