Message:   When I was teaching 2nd grade they had a bridal shower for me before my wedding too. The kids made a book called how to treat those you love. Every student wrote and drew their own page about showing respect and kindness to others. Some specifically talked about husbands and wives, but others (especially those with non traditional families) talked about how to get along with friends, siblings and family. I loved the book and still look at it every once in a while.

Also thinking a poem from each child about what love is could be cute. They could even start each line with the letters L...O...V...E
