Dear Nick,
After discovering your work about three weeks ago, I am in the process of reading your canon from beginning to end for a second time. I love them all -- the Paternal Instincts Series, Cooksville Chronicles, Pocketful of Stars, your chapter of the Baysville series, you name it. I don't remember ever being so wrapped up in stories the way I am in yours -- and I'm going right back to my Hardy Boys days on this one! I ponder your characters' lives, pain and triumphs like they were real people in my own life. Will Jake have a drug problem? Will Matt and Tim adopt him? Will Matt and Tim stay together? Will Marty adopt Ryan? Do Mike and Brian end up together? What happens to Dennis? Does Joe Ryan find someone? That I care enough to have these questions says everything about your talent as a writer for creating sympathetic chracters. I read what you wrote about the necessity of feedback. I'm only one of your readers, and can only say how your writing has touched me, which it has, deeply. I can make a confident guess, however, that there are many more people like me who feel the same way, and who look forward to seeing more from you. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity. |
