Hello all,
This very hard-working group is needing some assistance. We received this email from supporters and are passing it along in hopes some of you can help. Thanks!
------------------------------------------------
Last year, 19,185 of Duval county's homeless animals that entered the Jacksonville ACC shelter were killed. The First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) spay/neuter programs are extremely critical to reducing the number of homeless animals entering and being killed in area shelters.
Since FCNMHP started their spay/neuter programs in the First Coast area, the number of homeless animals entering our shelters has been coming down. The new spay/neuter clinic that FCNMHP is trying to open will definitely make a big difference in continuing to bring the numbers down.
Please note that FCNMHP programs help spay/neuter animals in Duval, Nassau, Clay, St. Johns, Baker and Bradford counties. Please read the below information and consider helping FCNMHP raise the money they need to open their high-volume spay/neuter clinic. Please share this with others who may be interested in
There is so much on the horizon for homeless animals in our community and it's do or die- literally! You may already know that we have been toiling for the last 9 months on a spay/neuter clinic. Much progress has been made but we have reached a final stumbling block and need support right now!
We have a location- a 16,000 square foot building on the northsideWe have been approved for a mortgage- with Jacksonville Bank- closing August 15th!We have raised money thru sweat and effortsWe have a generous major donorAnd we are currently preparing our team by hiring and training staff, doing surgeries at our temporary clinic.
We have hired our first full time vet and are in the process of bringing on several more. But we still MUST have $134,500 raised by AUGUST 15th in order to close on the clinic and move forward. MUST. IF we do this, we can ultimately do 230 surgeries per day, 7 days a week. That is what WILL make a difference. Our efforts thus far have been helpful, but we the battle gets tougher and we've only just cracked the surface. This clinic will be the solution. Truly.
However, if we cannot open the clinic, we will not be able to operate much longer. Quantity is the key. The large scale clinic can easily support itself. Our current efforts are just too costly and we will not be able to continue what we do at the current status. This means all the years of hard work will be for nothing.
We are SO CLOSE and it's time to pull out everything and ask each of you to do anything you can. We have several ways you can help.If you want to see a day in your future when there will truly by NO MORE HOMELESS PETS, please act now. Our clock is ticking. Here is what you can do to help us raise $134,500:
1- Donate! you can donate at our web site www.fcnmhp.org.
2 - You can take a check to any Jacksonville Bank made out to FCNMHP.
3 - You can mail a check to us at FCNMHP, P.O. BOX 11870, Jacksonville, FL 32239
4- Order a tile- we have 8x8 wall tiles available for sale at $100 each. You can put writing or a pets photo on it and it will be installed in the new clinic walls. You can order online at www.fcnmhp.org or call 338-9030 or email me back and I can send a form.
5- You can donate items or services to help build the clinic- drywall, AC units, doors, etc- feel free to contact me for a complete list. Anything donated goes toward the $ we need to close the sale.
6- Set up your own first giving site for us. www.firstgiving.com/fcnmhp this way you can fundraise for us!
7- Buy tickets or donate silent auction items for Art Unleashed- www.jaxartunleashed.com
8 - Copy and paste this message and send to everyone you can! This is an opportunity to make a huge difference. Our clinic would not only solve the pet overpopulation concerns in our community, it will be a model for other cities across the country. Folks are already watching us, once we get started things will explode. Please help! Thank you, Debbie FieldsFCNMHP |
