Try the natural flea tick preventative monthly squeeze on like Sargeants or Sentry Natural Defense with natural active ingredients like peppermint oil, cinnamon oil, lemon grass oil, clove oil, thyme oil.
$8 for 3 month supply squeeze on for Large dogs, less for small dogs. They have it also in a spray, to spray on before going in the woods, they have a powder, etc. Sold at walmart, pet stores, online.
There are other brand companies that also make natural flea/tick preventatives too.
Frontline Plus, is a strong pesticide, a lot of vets recommend it, and does kill fleas & ticks, but the side effects are unknown regarding cancer, etc. The problem with Frontline is the pesticide is soaked into the skin & into the body of your dog.
My young dog had cancer last year. So we use all natural now. Its cheaper and works just as well as the strong pesticide treatments.
As we don't know if the frontline could have been a cause to the cancer. |
