Immigration Related Issues

I found it interesting that the e-verify law apparently differs from state to state. This has created an interesting situation here in Arizona for both employers and the non-documented work force since it requires that anyone HIRED in AZ after January 2008 has to be verified. The problem created is the following: Illegal workers cannot change jobs and Employers cannot hire any new employees (undocumented). This has hit certain sectors of the economy where traditionally U.S. born citizens have not worked and it will be interesting to see how it pans out in the future. I am not posting this to start any controversy, but it is important for people to know how the new e-verify law varies from state to state whether you are a U.S. citizen on either side of the issue.
