Message:   I have been exploring the spiritual world for over 35 years, and while the essense of your point (all religions are facets..) is "true", the reality is that each of these facets are secular. They contain some truths but too many human interpretations based on our ignorance. Prejudices against women, children, homosexuals etc. are built into these religions. So what truths are people finding? In the bible, for example, do I follow the old or new testament? Which interpretations of the Qu'ran do I believe?
Religions time is passing, it has long outlived its usefulness. The problem is people have become dependent on their beliefs, many cannot handle the idea that there is no "god as a being" as mentioned in so many religious texts. Each's god(s) are different, and will remain so as long as people continue to see god as manifest and not "all that was, is, or ever will be".
Religions are alike (save perhaps Buddhism) in that they reflect the same human frailties and desires of different cultures. Now is the time for those of awareness to share their understandings that unit rather than divide us. As religions continue to exclude even one person from their "vision" due to their beliefs or who they are, they continue their demise.
The universe is one consciousness, of which we are a part. When man gets past his ego and learns to truly understand unconditional love, the nature of volition and its consequences, then we will start to be all we can be.

Respectfully,
Allan Beveridge
