Payout
I have to give props to Interstate for paying the full $500 for first in Super Pro even though there have been short fields of late. Please spread the word so we can get a 16 or 32 car field in S/P. You Pro ET guys should jump over for that kind of pay. Mark Schiffner |

*******Update to first post*********** As per Websters Dictionary-- Guarantee-To Undertake to answer for debt Guarantee-secure against risk Guarantee-written or other undertaking to answer for performance of obligation(emphasis on "obligation") The $500 guarantee to win in S/Pro must no longer apply.The owners of Interstate Dragways have there own definition of $500 guarantee to win,It's $281.25.Hey lets advertise it,payit a couple of times,and pull the old bait and switch.Ever since they started advertising $500 "Guaranteed" to win car counts have increased,Hmmm, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.But now we can just go backwards. Soooooo, In summary what does all this mean?? As owners, Our car counts are down we don't know why, we postin print and on our site guaranteed payouts,It actually increases the car counts,Then depending on who wins each race day we then take our new pocket full of silver bullet money and and short change the winner, then go back to wondering why nobody shows up on beautiful weekend. The End |

First of all I do not know if you were "shorted or not, and I have NOTHING to do with the operations of Interstate Dragways. However, if you are going to publicly ***** about this track, or any business for that matter, have the balls to put your name behind the complaint. Also, you may try to contact the management of the track with your question, complain, etc, before you did start a public whine. David Wyum |

First of all, I would like to congratulate all the winners this past weekend and thank you all for participating. We had another double-up winner Derek Bakken who won King of the Hill Saturday and Super Pro Sunday...great job Derek! (Old Blue never fails) Second, I found out in this post the guaranteed minimum of $500.00 was not paid in Super Pro. I decided to investigate what happened, get my ducks in a row and inform everyone what went wrong. I was in the tower during payout and knew nothing of a "short change" or a "bait and switch". What I found out is the person who filled out the check amounts did them all at once going by the 75 percent formula and either forgot or did not know about the guaranteed minimum for Super Pro. Once I knew what happened, I spoke with Clyde who already knew about this incident and he informed me he had spoken with the winner and assured them they would receive a balance check for $218.75 to meet the guaranteed minimum. Now after five hours, four cell phone calls and one long post on this forum (that you are all tired of reading by now  ) we can hopefully turn this post from negative back to positive where Mark Schiffner intended it to go.I am sorry there was a mistake and unless Websters definition of guarantee changes, the guarantee will be paid. If someone gets short changed in the future, please, politely inform the person paying you and the issue will be resolved immediately. Guaranteed minimums: Super Pro $500.00 Pro Et $400.00 Sportsman $250.00 Thank you for your time!

Derek, First, congratulations on your win in Super Pro! Second, my daughter who works in the tower at Interstate Dragways tells me that your payout was a clerical error. The member of the staff that has been writing out the checks this year did not write the checks on Sunday, and the races were extremely rushed, therefore this unfortunate mishap occurred. It was NOT an attempt to short you your winnings. Caroline tells me that MOST racers, if they have a question about the payout, come to the tower and ask before the races are over. You had around 45 minutes after you won your race to go to the tower and get this corrected! I’m sure it would have been. Instead, you have chosen to use your poison pen to damage the reputation of Interstate Dragways. I think you owe the owners and especially the staff an apology. Enough of this stuff, Derek. David: #1: I really am embaressed for you on your reply to "Guest", then directing it to me on your last post, Hopefully not everyone will put you in the ranks of being a "Stupid Mother ****er" after reading it. #2: Since you posted what you did, I have had to answer numerous phone calls, as well as take time from work to "borrow" a friends computer to see for myself what all is being posted since I do not have one available at home. #3: 2 minutes after the finals in S/Pro as I am driving back to my pits I see the check is for #281.00 ( This being a "Clerical" error the answer I wanted from him was to take the check they gave me and replace it with a check for $500.00, that option was never given, I offered to give back the $281.00 check, was told to keep it, and let them know on Labor day how much they owed me. This being said, they want to give geri the additional money, fine, if not, fine too.I didn't have a problem with this weekend or the answers I got, It is what it is, and not totally unexpected, Then I have to find out about this on the Forum and what you said.....my oh my #4 Geri sponsors me, pays my entries & pit spot, gives me the reason & "Value" to race at Idrags and unfortunate for her, she wrote out the checks in the tower with help from........, as normally your daughter does it, how embarressed do you think she was???? I would hope before you go and accuse someone of using a "Poisen Pen", you would pull your head out of your "Vagina" and remember, I have "NEVER" posted a ***** ,complaint, or cudo about Idrag and not used my name................ Derek, After reading your post and your choice of the level of language you used, it tells me that I must have gotten close to the truth when I wrote what I wrote. People usually go to obscenities in their conversation or writing as a last defense, when it looks like they have been exposed. By the way, thank you for the tie straps on Sunday, they were very helpful. David |
