Out of Pocket

I will out of pocket for a few days next week. I am having some outpatient surgery and will take a couple days to get back into the groove of things. Nothing too serious they think, but its female. I have to say my OB is really good about not letting anything slip by her. I had some minor procedures back 11-12yrs ago and it was so different then. They would wait to see how things progressed and now they can do so much more in such a short span of time. I still think OB has a long way to go with women's health, but my surgery probably would not have taken place 10 yrs ago until much later.
So smile ladies, we are living in better times.
See you in a few days!

Re: Out of Pocket

Hi guys, I am back. Well....sort of back. Surgery went fine, still tired, sore, etc. You know how it is. Doctors think everything will be "A" okay, but we will know more in the next week or so.
Back working today. Was going to work from home, but thought I could do it. We'll see if I make it all day. The good news is most folks are on vacation due to the holiday, so maybe it won't be hell on earth.
Thanks for the support.
Got a bottle of Shiraz at home for this weekend. Hope I can make it that long. (Wink, Wink)

PS: Funny thing. I hate needles, hospitals etc, and so while the nurses were poking me (chill bumps) I had to find a place in my head that peaceful. Well all us on the board know where that might be...Jamaica. I thought about swinging in one of Whoopi's Hammocks up on the cliffs. As the IV kicked in and I started to feel very relaxed, I was told later my last words were something to the effect that "Now, I am definitely going back to JA next spring."

Re: Out of Pocket

CC, hope everything heals PERFECTLY and fast! I'm sure you will enjoy having a long weekend for R&R. I don't know what shiraz is but it sounds like good 'medicine'!

I got my dental sutures removed today, they said everything looks good. I said yes, even without taking antibiotics! (that they push on everyone whether they need it or not, and I said I wouldn't take unless I developed a NEED for them.) Aloe juice was my defense, in addition to eating well (and no sugar) and using the prescribed rinse.

Re: Out of Pocket

Lola,
you are one strong woman. I would want something while they took it out, but then again maybe waiting so long it would not matter. I know you are happy now.

The Shiraz is a Yellowtail. A friend brought it for me and in the Magum size. Make for a nice buzz weekend! LOL.
Lately I have been drinking two red wines I thought I would share. The price on both have gone up due to all the high fuel costs, but not so much that its killing me to still buy them. Boardies who like red wine might like these two:
- LadyBug
- Roots

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July. I plan to not do much (can't swim or anything fun like that), but I can at least sit out in the sun and enjoy a day off for a change.
Take Care!

Re: Out of Pocket

Yellowtail? Magnum SIZE? Sounds like you'll have your hands full!

You are talking wine, I think... lol

Re: Out of Pocket

Glad you are feeling better, CC - I am not a big red wine drinker, but I LOVE Yellowtail - I found it in a store in JA and was so excited!

Another newer wine to try is Pink Pino Grigio - this is one of my new favorites - not quite as deep as a red, but a little tarter than the average white.

Re: Out of Pocket

CC, I had plenty of numbing while they did the work, it was just the anti-biotics I didn't want.
