seastar inn

hey guys - have any of you done the all inclusive at the seastar? $580 per person for a week double occupancy. Says you can order anything on the menu under $12. not sure if that is like one item per meal, or ? includes local drinks and mixed drinks.

comes out to 165 total or 82.85 per person per day - based on double occupancy.

anyway - if you have not done the all inclusive, but have stayed there - what did you think of the place? pluses/minuses

i have been there for the yummy buffet but any help would be appreciated.

Re: seastar inn

I stayed in room 8 in march 2007. Spacious, spotless, two double beds, hammock on verandah. fridge, sink. nice lush grounds. free continental breakfast included coffee, juices, muffins, cereal, toast. full menu breakfast lunch dinner, good food, reasonable.

free internet access, nice, clean pool big enough, guests even left bottles of leftover sunscreen in the pool area, quite a collection!

and not to forget Great Staff!

I don't do AI anywhere cuz there are so many places to eat and I don't drink enough to make it worthwhile.

Re: seastar inn

Oh, and Jamaican friendly, scooter rental, driver available, good but unobtrusive security!

Highly recommended!

Re: seastar inn

Seastar sounds like a great place to hideaway for a week and just chill out with good food, drinks, friends, or that special loved one. That is a great AI deal they are offering. If I were still traveling down often I would have to make one stay there for sure but as it is now I just can't stay anywhere but with Jah B and Joyce or I would miss them way too much.

Re: seastar inn

thanks tammy...looks like seastar it is going to be after a great deal of back and forth. i will be really looking forward to it and i have met chris - great guy. and francine can sure cook. fist time I won't be staying at the beach for along time, but i am ready for a new kind of experience where i can still go n hang at the beach. i survived joe's wetport cottages, so i will be fine - note...nothing wrong with joe's n he is a great guy...just lower accomadations...but cheap...very cheap.

Re: seastar inn

Ray,

Stayed on the beach since 1992, tried Seastar on the Cliffs in 2006. Fifth stay at Seastar coming up in November 2008. I won't be going back to the beach.

Chris and Francine run a teriffic Inn on the cliffs. Wonderful vibe, staff, food, location ect.....
