Ray, CONGRATS! You did it. I am so jealous, but glad you are making your way back. I know how it feels to watch everyone take a vacation except you. Patience is tough, but pays off in the end. Can't wait to hear more about your upcoming trip. Sounds like a great time of year to visit.

What kind of price did you get on Airfare? Everything I look at is $503 and up. I'm a US AIR girl and finally found one with them @ $527 for September. $503 is Northwest most anytime but they are cutting flights in Sept. so no Tuesday departures. Yeah trying to get 2 wild Tuesday's at MiYard during my trip. Looks like I may have to settle for just 1. Making plans for Sept. but nothing in stone as yet. Then will be back in Feb. 09. Glad you made the jump Ray |

cc - it is a killer watching everyone else plan and go. I really am not the jealous type, but oh man some strange feelings get conjured up....lol. There won't be many plans...i can tell you right now that i will be checkin the royal palm reserve, hitting the seastaar buffet and maybe the sunset buffet/show at negril escape. Def hitting some negril.com webcasts on my birthday too - nov 7 - a Friday! And that will be it. Very disappointed i will be missing Lola by about a week....i see san fran jan will be down when i am there and hope to meet up. Lots of other people will be around too. Mostly, more interested in the R and R. Last reach I did nothing at all and it was prob the best vaca of my life. Prob gonna stay at white sands...have to have some cover on the beach...wanted to split time with the cliffs, but traveling companion (possibly companisons) wants to park it and that is it...lol tammy - airfare not good - paid $482, second highest ever. Know I could have done better, but I swear that I was having some kind of addicition problem or something. I really became obsessed in the last few weeks. Has happened before. Man, like a drug or something and I mean that seriously.....lol. glad to see you...was getting a bit concerned. |

Ray, You are right some of the best vacation memories I have are just floating in the ocean or walking to the M&L on the cliffs. I will say that a trip to Whoopies Hammock Park near the Lighthouse is well worth the ride. Stop off at Out of Town Pastry and grab some patties then sit in a hammock on the cliffs and just think about "NOTHING." Doesn't that sound great? Yes, anytime in JA, is sounds good to me. I know you will have a great time. Start your count down! Tammy, Mini vacation? Those are so good for the soul. Hope you have fun. Its going to be 96 degrees here in Memphis today. I've changed my watering schedule at home. I have been either watering my gardens in the evenings (I know they say not to do this, but in Memphis its hot all summer, evenings included so we can get away with it) or I water around 6 am before work. Had a bunch of Zinna's die on me. First time that's ever happened. |

that's a darn good idea there cc - the hammock park with a couple of patties...yummy and ahhhh! about the watering - depends on how cool the evenings will get..if it is not ogoing to go below 70, you are risking some fungus and rot for sure. also, i hav found it depneds on when you are watering. I do it around 5 and never later than 6 this time of year...always try to leave a few hours of daylight...i too have had to water more thna usual this year...we had temps hovering and crossing over 100 already |

Ray, No, I water before it really gets dark using soaker hoses. Still daylight outside and the plants that are more suspectible to fungus I water in the morning. My grass doesn't care when it gets watered, just "water me." Think its going to be another hot summer for the south. I wish we could take some of that rain off the Midwesterns hands. We are okay right now, but if its like last yr we went over 2 mo without rainfall. Very dry conditions. |
