Re: Need hay? Not today!

Our 10 Sulphurs are lucky this year. We have enough Alfalfa hay the we grew ourselves. Photo is of our field.

Alfalfa hay around here in Utah is $200 a ton in those huge bales. Chuck and I have a friend, Jim, he is an 83 year old Mustanger. He still rides and breaks his own horses.Jim can not handle those HUGE bales, so he uses a chain saw to cut those big bales into quarters, making it much easier for him to handle.... (When Jim was a young man, he would ride in Book Cliffs of Utah, he would catch, train and sell mustangs.)

Sounds like Jim needs to write a book! At one time the bookcliffs held some of the finest Spanish Mustang stock you could find!
