Top tips

Top Tip!

Does anyone have any thoughts on how they manage their impiarment or disability? We could share ideas.

A friend told me that when she had a hip replacement and needed to walk with crutches that it was difficult to walk and hold a mug of tea at the same time.

The solution was to fold cling wrap over the mug to prevent the liquid spilling. It works!

Re: Top tips

Staying away from home can be a challenge when using a convential bath or shower is difficult or impossible. One solution, when access is not good, is to use an Oasis Bedbath. These are large microwaveable wet wipes. They are a good size and can be used straight from the pack or better still, warmed in a microwave first. Either way they give a very effective wash. The only problem is you have to buy a minimum of 10 packs so you need to go away a lot or share with a friend!

Re: Top tips

I was so sad when I looked through the Dialability website to see that Adam Wright had died. I didn't know and it must have been some time ago. I like the idea of Adam's Forum in his memory.
