Standing never hurt anyone?? What about people that have back problems or people that have leg problems that need somewhere to sit whilst waiting for a bus. In my time working in the village talking to the elderly I know for a fact the bench was used as a half way point for those needing to get out, were these people consulted over the bench. With regards to the faeces, this was saved up in someones back garden and spread over the bench, lovely eh?! Yes I agree the rubbish was getting out of hand, but what is the point of installing a bin, and then removing the bench 2ish days later, how can you then justify the cost of installing the bin, without testing it? Urinating into the tree isnt nice but it is actually a form of weedkiller and mixed with water can be used to feed the grass! Joking aside the kids need somewhere to go, as we all did at that age! |
