A hearty Airborne Thank You to Danny Nieves for this excellent Site. A respectful "thank you for your service" to all veterans on this day of rememberance. The Konek family is grateful to have our father, Edward A. Konek, and a portion of his service remembered on this site. Although he passed this year he is not fortotten, especially on veterans day. The family continues to follow Captain Konek's example with family members having served in the 101st Airborne, the 173d Airborne, Army Reserves, US Navy, and currently a grandaughter serving in Iraq with the Army Medical Corps. Again, thank you Danny and the best to the members of the 65th. |
