Hello.
I am originally from Puerto Rico and I belong to re-enacting organizations in the US, Spain and France. I am interested in re-creating the Regimiento Fijo de Puerto Rico (both infantry and Cavalry) from the 1790's to 1815. This is the regiment that confronted and defeated the british in 1797. I am looking for people interested in helping me organize and participate in activities in the Old San Juan. There will be a Big re-enactment in Old San Juan in 2006. It will be a reenactment of the british attack of the 1797. I expect the attendance of British re-enacting groups, french groups (as allies) and Regiments from Spain (Voluntarios de Madrid, Aragon and Valencia). Hopefully we will have 300 participants. If anyone is interested to experience the way our troops from the 1790's lived, send me an email to jtorres@stratos.net.
