Jane,
You and the others who say "we need to do something" have to realize that this is a Bahamian problem not a problem that folks that live here from other countries , visitors or winter residents can fix.
It is a very complex issue and we as foreigners & visitors can not take action in another country as we will be asked not to interfere or to mind our own business and take it from me it has happened over and over again to many who have tried to lend a helping hand here in Eleuthera or who have tried to suggest solutions to Eleuthera issues.
I suggest that all the folks who think this issue should be addressed should contact the tourist office in Governors Harbour and Nassau and other agencies so that we can bring attention to the issue of wild dog's roaming about in several areas of the island ( an this is an isolated issue believe me)and the Pot Cakes that are truly in need of help by all.
then and only then will something happen hopefully |
